In the previous article, we had discussed on Cloud Technology and its advantages.
Today we are going to enter the Amazon Cloud. First of all, we need to create
an Amazon account for that. Let us check how it is.
AWS
Account Creation
The most attraction of the AWS is it includes 12 Months of Free Tier and we can
use the following services as per AWS terms.
- Amazon EC2
- Amazon S3
- Amazon Dynamo DB
Services
and 12 Months Free Tier Details
- Amazon EC2 t2.micro 750Hours (Windows and Linux) / Month
- Amazon S3 - 2000 PUT request (single PUT Request max 5GB)
- Amazon S3 - 20000 GET request, each request is GET

AWS
Billing Account and Verification
We
require an active debit or credit card and a reachable mobile number to create
an AWS account and set up the payment method.
There
is two AWS verification processes currently have, first one is OTP verification
at the time of creating the account and the second one is later through an
Amazon calls directly. Mostly the account only will active after the completion
of the entire verification process.
AWS
Account Creation
Important:
Here we are going to create the first AWS account and so the User is Root User.
If you plan to create an account for any official purpose then use any common
Email ID instead of using the domain mail so the hacker can’t guess the root
user Email ID. The following are steps
Step 1: Open AWS or browse https://aws.amazon.com/
Step 2: Click ‘Create an AWS Account’
Step 3: Enter the required details and Sign Up the account
Step 4: Describe the Account Type, Company Name, Address, etc
Step 5: Setting up the Payment Method / Verify the Payment Method
(Amazon
will collect Rs 2 from the card and refund it after few hours, this just a CC verification)
Step 6: Confirm the Identity through the OTP
Step 7: Share the personal experience
The account creation process is completed. However, the activation process may take
up to 24 hours. Also, will get the direct amazon call to complete the verification
as I mentioned above.
